Baseball Game Preview: Webb Gauls vs. Pomona Red Devils

The Webb Gauls will take on the Pomona Red Devils at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.

Webb lost a heartbreaker the last time they played California Lutheran, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Tuesday's contest. The Gauls blew past the C-Hawks 13-3 on Tuesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Gauls needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Mikey Pino made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. Those 13 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with four runs, two stolen bases, and three RBI.

In other batting news, Webb got a massive performance out of Alec Kaushal, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. Those four hits gave Kaushal a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Andres Caballero, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one run.

Meanwhile, Pomona and Mark Keppel finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 tie on Monday.
