Corbin entered their tilt with Leslie County on Wednesday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 6-2. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Redhounds also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Corbin got a great performance from Hunter Todd as he pitched 4.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. What's more, Todd posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March.

On the hitting side, Kade Elam was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles. He is becoming a predictor of Corbin's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 8-1 (and 6-8 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Cima, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Corbin was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Leslie County only posted a batting average of .130.

Corbin's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-9. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.7 runs over those games. As for Leslie County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Corbin will venture away from home to face off against Somerset at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Leslie County, they will head out to square off against Jackson County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
