Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Jarret Mauvais and Tristan Etienne Lead FAU High to Victory

FAU High waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 50-35 win over the Sheridan Hills Christian Sharks. For the Owls, this counts as revenge for the 74-48 victory the Sharks walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.

FAU High was led to victory by Tristan Etienne and Jarret Mauvais. Etienne dropped a double-double on 26 points and ten rebounds, while Mauvais went 5 of 12 on his way to 17 points and five assists. Mauvais' evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

FAU High has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. As for Sheridan Hills Christian, they now have a losing record at 5-6.

FAU High will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Coral Springs Charter at 6:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025. Sheridan Hills Christian will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against Pine Crest at 6:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
