Basketball Recap: Bryce Backus Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Okemos

Caledonia hadn't done well against Okemos recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Fighting Scots came out on top against the Wolves by a score of 57-48. This was payback for the Fighting Scots, who suffered a 62-35 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Caledonia's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Bryce Backus, who went 6-for-10 on his way to 14 points and eight rebounds. What's more, Backus also posted a 60% field goal percentage, which is the highest he's achieved since back in December of 2025. Another player making a difference was Aaron Collins, who posted nine points and six assists.

Caledonia has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-10 record this season. As for Okemos, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-17.
