Football Recap: Sierra Falls to Minarets in First Game of Season

Sierra had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They were dealt a 60-6 loss at the hands of the Minarets Mustangs. The Chieftains were not able to make up for their defeat to the Mustangs from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

Torin Wolf had an outrageously good game for Minarets as he threw for 313 yards and four TDs on only 16 passes, and also rushed for 130 yards and one touchdown on only five carries. Those 130 rushing yards gave Wolf a new career-high. Killian Paschell also helped out as he racked up 105 rushing yards.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sierra will head out to square off against Turlock Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Minarets, they will venture away from home to challenge Pacheco at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
