League recap: Valor Christian extends winning streak with victory over Columbine

Valor Christian extended the longest winning streak in Freelance this week by beating Columbine, 49-13. The victory was the 10th in a row for the Eagles.

Valor Christian took down the Rebels 49-13 last week, the largest margin of any game. Christian McCaffrey ran for 272 yards and caught 2 passes for 37 yards during the win.

Rod Sherman's team's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. A.J. Cecil threw for 129 and 1 touchdown and Marcus Wilson had 74 yards receiving. On the ground McCaffrey contributed 272 yards. McCaffrey helped Valor Christian's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 37 yards.

McCaffrey was a force in the backfield as the Eagles bested Columbine.

McCaffrey provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Valor Christian defeated Andy Lowry's team. McCaffrey's favorite target this week was Wilson, who caught 5 passes for 74 yards.

Wilson was the best wideout in the league this week as the Eagles beat the Rebels.

Valor Christian's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Eagles feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Cecil has thrown for 1,897 yards and 29 touchdowns this season, while McCaffrey has 28 catches for 570 yards.

Entering into this week's contest against Cherokee Trail, Cecil is short just 103 passing yards to break 2,000 on the season.

The Eagles led the league in scoring this week after putting up 49 points on Columbine. McCaffrey in the win.
