Basketball Recap: AJ Torres' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Bradshaw Christian over Union Mine

Bradshaw Christian lost against Union Mine back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bradshaw Christian The Pride took a 76-67 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Union Mine Diamondbacks. The The Pride have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bradshaw Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being AJ Torres, who went 6 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Amezcua, who went 6 of 7 on his way to 16 points and five boards.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Union Mine to victory, but perhaps none more so than Matt Manfredi, who went 7 for 11 en route to 21 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Cole Patterson, who went 7 of 16 on his way to 19 points.

Bradshaw Christian's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Union Mine, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-12.

Bradshaw Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 58-42 defeat against Argonaut on the 16th. Union Mine has also already played their next match, a 56-41 win against Rosemont on the 15th.
