Baseball Recap: Liberty Comes Up Short

Liberty extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 11 on Monday, dropping them down to 0-10. They lost 14-3 to the LaBrae Vikings. The Leopards were not able to make up for their defeat to the Vikings from their previous meeting back in April of 2025.

As for LaBrae, they pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for their hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

For LaBrae's part, Austin Rowe was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Rowe has posted since back in April of 2025. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI.

In other batting news, Eric Reibold was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three stolen bases, and five RBI. Another player making a difference was Easton Armstrong, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

While Liberty had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
