It was a good run, but L'Anse Creuse North unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-match winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Romeo Bulldogs by a score of 3-2. If the Crusaders were looking for revenge after losing 3-2 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in November of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

L'Anse Creuse North took Romeo into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking six-point loss. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-14, 17-25, 20-25, 15-9.

Morgan Janowski paced L'Anse Creuse North's offense, picking up 16 kills. Janowski got some help from Kenidee Moore and her 20 assists. Janowski was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

L'Anse Creuse North's loss dropped their record down to 17-6. As for Romeo, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 18-7-1.

L'Anse Creuse North has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Utica Eisenhower on the 2nd. As for Romeo, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Anchor Bay on the 2nd.
