Basketball Recap: Logan Comes Up Short

Logan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 63-46 to the Bear River Bears. The Grizzlies were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bears apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Logan lost, don't look at Reed Olsen. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten boards. Olsen has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more rebounds the last nine times he's played. Eli Cox was another key player, putting up nine points.

Logan's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Bear River, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-10.

Logan will take on Mountain Crest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bear River, they will challenge Green Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bear River has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
