Soccer Game Preview: West Point vs. Mae Jemison

The West Point Warriors will venture away from home to challenge the Mae Jemison Jaguars at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. West Point will be strutting in after a victory while Mae Jemison will be coming in after a defeat.

West Point is headed into the contest having not lost since February 8 and will look to keep things rolling. They blew past Lawrence County 6-1 on Friday. The win continues a trend for West Point in their matchups with Lawrence County: they've now won six in a row.

Meanwhile, Mae Jemison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They came up short against Buckhorn, falling 10-0.

Mae Jemison's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for West Point, their victory bumped their record up to 10-3-2.

Everything went West Point's way against Mae Jemison in their previous matchup back in February, as West Point made off with a 5-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for West Point since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
