Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sandia Prep). Everything went their way against the Dexter Demons on Saturday as they made off with a 24-4 win. The Sundevils haven't had any issues with the Demons recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

The team relied heavily on Logan Lemons, who went 4-for-5 with four runs, two stolen bases, and three RBI. He has become a key player for Sandia Prep: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least three hits, but 8-11 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Landon Hardcastle, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Sandia Prep was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .520. The last time their batting average was this high was was before the start of last season.

The win got Sandia Prep back to even at 12-12. As for Dexter, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-15.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Sandia Prep beat the Demons by a score of 14-0 later that day.
