Baseball Recap: New Castle Comes Up Short

New Castle had lost three straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 3-7 to make it four. They came up short against the Delta Eagles, falling 14-1. The Trojans were not able to make up for their loss to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in April of 2025.

As for Delta, the win got them back to even at 5-5. That 13-run margin sets a new team best for them this season.

For Delta's part, they let Brady Williams and Eli Overholt run wild. Williams went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI and two runs, while Overholt went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one double, and one RBI. Those four RBI gave Williams a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Crist, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

While New Castle had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
