2017 MaxPreps National High School Football Player of the Year watch list

Two Clemson commits lead the list of 10 players who could be selected the nation's very best.

Daniels are two of the 10 players chosen at the midway point of the 2017 season.The best of the best in high school football have been selected on our first edition of the 2017 MaxPreps National High School Football Player of the Year watch list.
Two 2018 Clemson commits were selected, along with the No. 1 quarterback in the Class of 2019. The only wide receiver featured is a 2018 Texas commit. See the video above for a complete look at the candidates.
In total, nine seniors made the cut and one underclassmen. The quarterback position leads the way with six players selected. Two running backs, one wide receiver and a defensive back fill out the other four spots.
The 10 players selected have led their respective teams to a combined record of 55-4.
There is still a long way to go in the 2017 season, but these players have put themselves in a great position to be named the MaxPreps National High School Football Player of the Year. Look for the next update at the beginning of November
