After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Austintown-Fitch, Riverside was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They never let the Cuyahoga Falls Black Tigers get on the board and left with an 11-0 victory. Considering the Beavers have won 14 matchups by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Clara Granchi was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Those ten strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Maddi Proud, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Maddy Kevern, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and two runs.
Riverside was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .458. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cuyahoga Falls only posted a batting average of .000.
