It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Rochester had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Oak Hill Golden Eagles. Winning may never get old, but the Zebras sure are getting used to it with their ninth in a row.
Bria Rensberger spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on six hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Jadyn Field was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Aubrey Miller, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.
Rochester's record now sits at 20-4. As for Oak Hill, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 20-7 record.
Looking ahead, Rochester will challenge Manchester at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Squires will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Zebras surely won't give up without a fight. Oak Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
