Volleyball Recap: Alexis Chavez-Sanchez and Javier Rodriguez Secure Win for KIPP Denver Collegiate

KIPP Denver Collegiate won the last time they faced Manual and things went their way on Friday too. The White Tigers put the hurt on the Thunderbolts with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the White Tigers.

KIPP Denver Collegiate walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). The final score came out to 25-18, 25-14, 25-16.

Leading KIPP Denver Collegiate to victory were Javier Rodriguez and Alexis Chavez-Sanchez. Rodriguez had 15 digs, while Chavez-Sanchez had ten digs. Chavez-Sanchez is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had ten or more in each of the last three games he's played.

KIPP Denver Collegiate was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 19 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in four consecutive matches.

KIPP Denver Collegiate's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Manual, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-11 record.

KIPP Denver Collegiate wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against DSST: College View on the 26th. As for Manual, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Lincoln on the 29th.
