Basketball Game Preview: Pierce Bluejays vs. Milford Eagles

It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Bluejays take on the Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.

Last Thursday, Pierce came up short against Arlington and fell 62-49.

Meanwhile, Milford waltzed into their game on Friday with 15 straight wins... but they left with 16. They put the hurt on the Indians with a sharp 73-53 win. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked seventh, while the Indians are ranked 51st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Pierce's defeat dropped their record down to 18-8. As for Milford, they pushed their record up to 22-1 with the victory, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season.
