Newnan and Northside are an even 5-5 against one another since August of 2018, but not for long. The Cougars will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against the Patriots at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Newnan will be strutting in after a win while Northside will be coming in after a defeat.

On Thursday, Newnan was able to grind out a solid victory over Oak Mountain Academy, taking the game 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cougars.

Meanwhile, Northside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Hillgrove.

Newnan will have to contain Mckenzie Durbin as she made an impact in Northside's last game. She had nine digs and three aces.

Newnan now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Northside, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's contest: Newnan has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 10 aces per game. However, it's not like Northside struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.8 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
