Football Recap: Yorktown Has No Trouble Against Fox Lane

Yorktown never let their opponents score on Wednesday. They took down the Fox Lane Foxes 18-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 33-0 back in March.

Sophia Marcello threw for 45 yards on six of 11 attempts. On the ground, Maddy Reilly rushed for 121 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 11 carries.

Yorktown's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Fox Lane, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-10-2.

Looking ahead, Yorktown will challenge Lakeland at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Hornets will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Huskers surely won't give up without a fight. Fox Lane does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
