Basketball Recap: Burr & Burton Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Burr & Burton can now relate to. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 84-34 to the Rice Memorial Green Knights, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Green Knights recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Burr & Burton's defeat dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Rice Memorial, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 games. That lines up perfectly with their 18-6 record this season.

Burr & Burton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rice Memorial, they will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Johnsbury Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. St. Johnsbury Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 13 contests -- so hopefully Rice Memorial likes a good challenge.
