Basketball Game Preview: Tivy Antlers vs. Boerne-Champion Chargers

Tivy and Boerne-Champion are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2020, but not for long. The Tivy Antlers will challenge the Boerne-Champion Chargers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Boerne-Champion took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Tivy, who comes in off a win.

Tivy is headed into the game having just posted their biggest victory since December 20, 2024 on Friday. They breezed by Smithson Valley to the tune of 59-32. The Antlers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 60 points the game before, Boerne-Champion was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They were dealt a 75-22 loss at the hands of Wagner. The game marked the Chargers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Tivy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.8 points per game. As for Boerne-Champion, they dropped their record down to 16-16 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Tivy was able to grind out a solid win over Boerne-Champion when the teams last played back in January, winning 59-49. The rematch might be a little tougher for Tivy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
