Baseball Recap: Lexington Minutemen vs. Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley Falcons
After flying high against Cornerstone Christian last Tuesday, Lexington came back down to earth. The Minutemen fell just short of the Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley Falcons by a score of 5-3 on Wednesday. The Minutemen were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Blaine Friedmansky and Kayden Knight stepped up to the plate in a big way. Friedmansky scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-3, while Knight went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Lexington is 3-1 when Friedmansky posts two or more runs, but 2-4 otherwise.
