Monahans hadn't done well against Fort Stockton recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Loboes sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Panthers & Prowlers. This was a revenge game for the Loboes: when they faced off against the Panthers & Prowlers back in March, they had to take a 2-0 defeat.

The victory made it two in a row for Monahans and bumps their season record up to 8-12-1. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for Fort Stockton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-11-2 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Monahans will take on rival Greenwood at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Fort Stockton is set to square off against their familiar foe Pecos at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
