Basketball Recap: Ethan West's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Hampton Christian Academy over Atlantic Shores Christian

After flying high against StoneBridge last Tuesday, Hampton Christian Academy came back down to earth. The Hampton Christian Academy Warriors lost to the Atlantic Shores Christian Seahawks on the road by a 66-50 margin on Thursday. The Warriors have struggled against the Seahawks recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Hampton Christian Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ethan West, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds. That's the most points West has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Joel Fullwood, who posted 13 points.

Hampton Christian Academy now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Atlantic Shores Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 13-9 record this season.

Hampton Christian Academy has already played their next matchup, a 61-39 victory against Denbigh Baptist Christian on the 31st. As for Atlantic Shores Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, an 83-47 win against Greenbrier Christian Academy on the 31st.
