Recap: Ocean Springs Greyhounds vs. Moss Point Tigers
The Ocean Springs Greyhounds's four-game losing streak came to an end on Tuesday. They welcomed the New Year with a 20-16 victory over Moss Point. The victory was just what Ocean Springs needed coming off of a 60-31 defeat in their prior game.
Moss Point's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Zaria Nettles, who scored 4 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 steals. Kaliyah Richardson was another key contributor, scoring 3 points along with 3 steals.
Ocean Springs' win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Moss Point, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ocean Springs will take on St. Luke's Episcopal at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Moss Point, they will be playing at home against Long Beach at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
