Football Game Preview: Cullman Bearcats vs. Buckhorn Bucks

The Cullman Bearcats are taking a road trip to square off against the Buckhorn Bucks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Cullman is coming into the game on the come-up as their season has now been buoyed by two straight wins. They were the clear victors by a 37-13 margin over Decatur on Friday.

Meanwhile, Buckhorn never let their opponents score on Friday. They secured a 6-0 W over Mae Jemison. That's two games straight that the Bucks have won by exactly six points.

Buckhorn's defense made their presence known, laying out Jaden Burroughs four times. In that department, Cortez Carr was the leader with two sacks. He has been hot, having also posted eight or more total tackles the last seven times he's played. EJ Hall was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making six total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Buckhorn's record is now 6-2. As for Cullman, the victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 3-6.

Cullman couldn't quite get it done against Buckhorn in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 as they fell 14-7. Thankfully for the Bearcats, Shamarion Landrum (who rushed for 140 yards and one touchdown) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
