Soccer Recap: King George Takes a Loss

King George was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Courtland Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Courtland this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 on April 8th.

King George's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Courtland, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. King George is set to challenge their familiar foe Caroline at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Courtland will face off against rival Culpeper County at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
