Football Recap: Russellville Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Russellville and Briarwood Christian squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Russellville had to settle for second. They took a blow against the Lions, falling 42-7. The matchup marked the Golden Tigers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the loss, Russellville still got an impressive performance from Tarus Davis, who rushed for 137 yards.

Russellville didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jasen Noel and Braxton Duncan.

Briarwood Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from John Campbell, who rushed for 58 yards and one TD. Sam Canale also helped out with an impressive 103 receiving yards.

Russellville's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Briarwood Christian, the victory made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 7-5.

Russellville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Briarwood Christian, they will square off against Moody at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lions will need to watch out since the Blue Devils have now posted at least 31 points in their last four contests.
