Football Recap: Prince George Skates Past J.R. Tucker with Ease

Prince George got themselves on the board against J.R. Tucker on Friday, but J.R. Tucker never followed suit. They claimed a resounding 49-0 victory over the Tigers. The win continues a trend for the Royals in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won three in a row.

Lawrence Hewlett Jr. went supernova, rushing for 209 yards and three TDs on only nine carries, while also throwing for 115 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only five passes. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in September of 2024.

Prince George didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of William Bostic and Jaleel Britton. Britton got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

The victory got Prince George back to even at 1-1. As for J.R. Tucker, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Prince George will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Freeman at 7:00 p.m. on the 19th. As for J.R. Tucker, they are taking a road trip to square off against Mechanicsville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
