It was a good run, but Triton unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Monday. They fell 6-3 to the South Johnston Trojans. If the Hawks were looking for revenge after losing 10-1 to the Trojans when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Bailey Johnson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Triton's defeat dropped their record down to 9-2. As for South Johnston, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-1.

Triton didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 16-0 victory against Westover on the 25th. As for South Johnston, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 15-0 win against Hunt on the 25th.
