Volleyball Game Preview: Dr. Maya Angelou Community Phoenix vs. West Adams Panthers

The Dr. Maya Angelou Community Phoenix will face off against the West Adams Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

On Wednesday, Dr. Maya Angelou Community didn't have quite enough to beat Math & Science College Preparatory and fell 3-2. The Phoenix haven't had much luck with the Sharks recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Meanwhile, West Adams lost 3-0 to Los Angeles on Wednesday.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-14, 25-18.

West Adams has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season. As for Dr. Maya Angelou Community, they now have a losing record of 7-8.
