Baseball Recap: Lenoir City Comes Up Short

Lenoir City lost against William Blount two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Panthers lost 9-1 to the Governors.

Lenoir City saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Conner Turpin, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Lenoir City has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That lines up perfectly with their 5-15 record this season. As for William Blount, the victory got them back to even at 12-12.

Lenoir City has already played their next game (against King's Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. William Blount will be paying especially close attention to the Panthers' contest: after the Panthers faces off against Alcoa, they'll take on William Blount again at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
