Baseball Recap: Muncy Has No Trouble Against Benton

Muncy was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Benton on Saturday. The Indians put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 8-0 win. The Indians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by eight runs or more this season.

Corbyn Gardner made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Muncy is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 2-3 otherwise. Gardner was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jameson Barlow, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple.

The victory got Muncy back to even at 4-4. As for Benton, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.
