Football Game Preview: Orangefield Bobcats vs. Kirbyville Wildcats + How To Watch

The Orangefield Bobcats will take on the Kirbyville Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Orangefield barely beat Coldspring-Oakhurst the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bobcats claimed a resounding 49-13 win over the Trojans. Considering the Bobcats have won five games by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Kirbyville, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in September. They breezed past Coldspring-Oakhurst to the tune of 45-18 last Friday. The contest marked the Wildcats' most dominant victory of the season.

Orangefield has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 42.0 points over those games. As for Kirbyville, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Everything came up roses for Orangefield against Kirbyville in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 49-14 win. In that game, the Bobcats amassed a halftime lead of 35-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
