Softball Recap: River Valley Comes Up Short

River Valley was the 12-1 winner over Nevada Union when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Falcons wound up with the same score they had in their last game (5-4), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.

River Valley saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaitlyn Garcia, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Garcia has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played.

River Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Nevada Union, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-14 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. River Valley will take on Sutter at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Nevada Union, they will head out to square off against Twelve Bridges at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
