Baseball Game Preview: Brunswick School Bruins vs. Greenwich Country Day Tigers

Brunswick School has gone a perfect 5-0 against Greenwich Country Day recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. Brunswick School will head out to face off against Greenwich Country Day at 4:30 p.m.

Brunswick School is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest loss since April 15, 2024 on Saturday. They lost 12-2 to Loomis Chaffee School.

Jack Bylow was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Landon O'Hara, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in both of his plate appearances.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Greenwich Country Day, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against King on Friday, sneaking past 5-3.

Bryce Hill made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Hill was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing three bases.

In other batting news, Ray Perez was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Mason Zuniga was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one double.

The victory got Greenwich Country Day back to even at 1-1. As for Brunswick School, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Brunswick School took their win against Greenwich Country Day in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 9-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Brunswick School since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
