Basketball Recap: Northeast Academy Takes a Loss

Northeast Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Southampton Academy Raiders 59-30. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 52-24 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2022.

Despite the loss, Northeast Academy still got an impressive performance from Mason Vann, who posted 18 points.

Northeast Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Southampton Academy, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Northeast Academy and Christ Covenant will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest, having both just played. As for Southampton Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Halifax Academy at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
