Softball Recap: Valley Union Blue Devils vs. Cholla Chargers

After flying high against Palo Verde last Saturday, Valley Union came back down to earth. The Valley Union Blue Devils took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cholla Chargers on Friday. Valley Union was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Cholla apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2022.

Arianna Bernal and Courtney Noble did some serious damage despite the final result: Bernal scored a run while going 2-for-3, while Noble went 1-for-3 with a home run and a stolen base. Noble is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now stolen at least one in the last three games she's played.

As for Cholla, they will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Tombstone at 1:00 p.m. Tombstone has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.5 runs per game on average), something Cholla will no doubt try to take advantage of.
