Baseball Recap: Coffee County Central Takes a Loss

Coffee County Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the Spring Hill Raiders. The Red Raiders lost against the Raiders in their previous head to head back in May of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 25-0 score last time.

Blake Hillis was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Coffee County Central's defeat dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Spring Hill, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-9.

While Coffee County Central had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
