Basketball Game Preview: Mooreland Bearcats vs. Arnett Wildcats

Mooreland is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Leedey just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They lost 48-26 to the Bison. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Bearcats have suffered since January 3rd.

Meanwhile, Arnett waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victor by a 63-38 margin over the Indians. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 79th, while the Indians are ranked 286th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Arnett pushed their record up to 17-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.7 points per game. As for Mooreland, their loss dropped their record down to 14-8.

Mooreland was able to grind out a solid win over Arnett when the teams last played last Tuesday, winning 38-30. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mooreland since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
