High school basketball: Top-ranked prospects Cameron Boozer and Isaiah Collier headline 20th annual Chick-fil-A Classic

Calvary Christian Academy, Columbus, IMG Academy and Wheeler headline loaded 16-team field.

The Chick-fil-A Classic, one of the premier events of the holiday season in high school basketball, announced its 2022 field Monday. The 20th annual event will take place Dec. 27-30 at River Bluff High School in Lexington, S.C.


Joining the out-of-state programs are Palmetto State teams Keenan (Columbia), Lexington, River Bluff (Lexington) and A.C. Flora (Columbia). The 16-team field will be split up into two eight-team divisions. Teams competing in the Carolina's Challenge Division will be announced on Wednesday.

The field will feature a pair of No. 1 overall prospects in Isaiah Collier of Wheeler (Class of 2023) and Cameron Boozer of Columbus (2025).



Other headlining individual talents expected to be featured at the event include top 50 prospects Isaiah Miranda of Southern California Academy, Jason Asemota and Jayden Quaitance of Hillcrest Prep, Amier Ali, Amari Allen, Jamier Jones, Khani Rooths and Bryson Tucker of IMG Academy, Cameron Scott of Lexington, Ryan Jones of The Rock and Cayden Boozer of Columbus.
