Basketball Game Preview: Humphrey-Lindsay Bulldogs vs. Wisner-Pilger Gators

Humphrey-Lindsay has gone 7-2 against Wisner-Pilger recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Humphrey-Lindsay Bulldogs are taking a road trip to square off against the Wisner-Pilger Gators at 7:30 p.m. Humphrey-Lindsay will be strutting in after a victory while Wisner-Pilger will be coming in after a loss.

Humphrey-Lindsay took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They walked away with a 61-53 win over Laurel-Concord-Coleridge.

Owen Kurtenbach continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a triple-double on 17 points, 16 boards, and nine assists. That's the most boards he has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Groteluschen, who posted eight points.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Humphrey-Lindsay was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Wisner-Pilger played a tough match on Monday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by Wakefield and fell 69-41. The Gators have struggled against the Trojans recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Wisner-Pilger's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Humphrey-Lindsay, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6.

Everything came up roses for Humphrey-Lindsay against Wisner-Pilger in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, as the team secured a 70-39 win. In that contest, Humphrey-Lindsay amassed a halftime lead of 41-15, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
