Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask South Whidbey). They came out on top against the Orcas Island Vikings by a score of  29-25  on Thursday. That's more bragging rights for the Falcons, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
 South Whidbey got a  massive  performance out of  Estelle Thorsen, who  got on base  in five of her six plate appearances with one  home run, five  runs,  and two  stolen bases. What's more,  Thorsen posted two  hits, the most she's  had since back in March. Another player making a difference was  Savannah Filla, who  went 2-for-5 with five  RBI, three  runs,  and two  doubles.
With the  victory, South Whidbey broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 10-8. As for Orcas Island, their defeat was  their sixth straight at home, which  dropped their record down to 7-13.
 South Whidbey does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Orcas Island, they will host Anacortes  at 1:00  p.m.  on Saturday.
