On Saturday, Columbia Academy faced Oak Grove in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Columbia Academy Cougars walked away with a 12-7 victory over the Oak Grove Warriors. The win was familiar territory for the Cougars, who have now won six games in a row.

The team relied heavily on Corban Lawrence, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February. Carson Stuart was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Columbia Academy's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Oak Grove, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.

Coming up, Columbia Academy will face off against Hartfield Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Oak Grove, they will challenge Northeast Jones at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
