Baseball Recap: Haverling's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

After flying high against Campbell-Savona last Tuesday, Haverling came back down to earth. The Rams took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wellsville Lions on Thursday. The loss put an end to the Rams' undefeated start to the season.

Haverling saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gage Thomas, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Having lost for the first time this season, Haverling fell to 2-1. As for Wellsville, their win was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Looking ahead, Haverling will head out on the road to square off against Dansville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wellsville, they will welcome Canisteo-Greenwood at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
