Basketball Preview: West Rowan Falcons vs. Northwest Cabarrus Trojans
The West Rowan Falcons will head out on the road to challenge the Northwest Cabarrus Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. West Rowan has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
West Rowan is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. It was close, but on Fridaythey capped 2024 with a 68-65 win over East Rowan. The victory was some much needed relief for the Falcons as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

West Rowan's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brant Graham, who went 6 for 11 from beyond the arc on his way to 20 points. Those 20 points gave Graham a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Josiah Young, who posted nine points in addition to seven blocks and six boards.
Meanwhile, Northwest Cabarrus wrapped up 2024 with a 61-46 win over East Rutherford.
