Softball Recap: LEE Volunteers vs. Madison Mavericks
LEE lost against Madison back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Volunteers came up short against the Mavericks, falling 18-4. The Volunteers just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.
Elizabeth Earl made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Isabella Salinas was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
LEE's loss dropped their record down to 2-20. As for Madison, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
Coming up, LEE will head out on the road to take on Churchill at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Volunteers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Chargers have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season. As for Madison, they will welcome SA Roosevelt at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
