Softball Recap: LEE Takes a Loss

LEE lost against Madison back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Volunteers came up short against the Mavericks, falling 18-4. The Volunteers just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Elizabeth Earl made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Isabella Salinas was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

LEE's loss dropped their record down to 2-20. As for Madison, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Coming up, LEE will head out on the road to take on Churchill at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Volunteers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Chargers have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season. As for Madison, they will welcome SA Roosevelt at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Rough Riders have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 18.38 runs per game on average), something the Mavericks will no doubt try to take advantage of.
