Baseball Recap: Cary Christian Drops Season-High Score on Trinity Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cary Christian). They blew past the Trinity Academy Tigers 13-2 on Thursday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 12-2 on Tuesday.

Jackson Hill and Samuel Snyder made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Hill pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Snyder pitched two innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. At the plate, Hill went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double, while Snyder earned two runs and two stolen bases. Those two runs gave Hill a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Zachary Lindstrom, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024. Luke Dearolf was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Cary Christian's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-5. As for Trinity Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cary Christian will face off against Thales Academy Apex at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Trinity Academy, they will square off against GRACE Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
