Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Crownpoint). They took their match on Friday with ease, bagging a 50-8 win over the Gallup Bengals. Considering the Eagles have won four matchups by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Lavontae Robinson was a one-man wrecking crew for Crownpoint as he rushed for 109 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries, and also picked up 47 receiving yards and a touchdown. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 70 yards. Jaycee Beyale was another key player, picking up 85 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Crownpoint didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Landen Littleben, Austin Begay, and Calian Tenequer picked up one apiece.

The victory (which was Crownpoint's third in a row) raised their record to 5-4. As for Gallup, their loss was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-8.

It'll be Battle of the Birds when Eagles faces off against Thoreau at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in their favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last six games. As for Gallup, they will challenge Shiprock at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
